How Dental Implants Work
Dental implants are artificial teeth that are attached to an anchor, usually a metal snap, which is secured within the jawbone. The implant dentistry procedure requires Dr. John Eriksmoen to work closely with board-certified oral surgeon Lawrence Lorenzi to ensure that the implant anchor is properly placed.
Using impressions taken by our cosmetic dentist, the technicians at our Orange County laboratory will create dental implant restorations for the patient.
Once the anchor is properly placed and the implant area has healed, the patient will return to our Orange County implant dentistry office for placement of the dental implants. During this appointment, Dr. Eriksmoen can attach strong, natural looking restorations.
